They are unlacquered and will develop their own patina as they are used and react with their environment. The Gold finish is a soft finish and should be treated with care. You know that I had to get these in gold, there was no other option for me! They're really pretty and I was able to plumb them in myself, I'm proud of myself for that
These are absolutely brilliant taps, no doubt about it. I love the traditionally curved spout and the feeling of the lever handles turning is actually really satisfying
I think the best thing about this tap is the porcelain lever handles. I have the Polished Brass version of this tap and the white clashing with the brown looks beyond pretty
We own a B&B and after our recent bedroom redecorations we had some guests complaining that the bathrooms looked so out of place. We have since redone all of our bathrooms and we have one of these in each of the rooms in the English Bronze finish. We get so many compliments now that we were considering buying one for our own house!
When I bought this I also bought a mounted soap dispenser, I got the both of them in the same finish and they really compliment each other. I would recommend also buying the soap dispenser with it :)
